Wow!  Crossroads has a whole slew of exciting
new things beginning in August! As you read
through all the different ways that you can connect
with new friends, learn more about God,
tackle your finances, make a difference in the lives
of others, and grow in your faith, we pray that you
will step forward and join us in these amazing new
ministries.

Three Simple Rules: A Wesleyan Way of Living on
Sunday mornings at 9:00 am, starting on August
10. Then, on August 17, 24, and 31, we will use
these concepts, derived from Scripture, as the
basis for the message in worship. This easy-to-read,
little book delivers a powerful and compelling
message to address the longings we have
for a more faithful way of living as disciples of
Jesus Christ. (Books are $5 each.)

Family Fellowship
Spending time together as a family and
having fun are great ways for us to connect with
each other. On Monday, August 18th, we will head
out to Ameriquest Field in Arlington for a tail-gate
party, then watch the Texas Rangers take on the
Detroit Tigers. A few tickets are still available!
Then, on Sunday, August 24th, we will have an End
of Summer "Back to School Bash" at Burger's Lake
in Fort Worth (yes, it has re-opened and the water
is safe!). We'll head over after worship, fire up the
grill for burgers, and spend the afternoon playing
in the water or serving up some sand volleyball.
Admission is $9 per person, kids under 6 are free.
Signs will be posted directing you to our reserved
spot at the lake.

Children's Ministries
The children of Crossroads are in for a treat
during Sunday School! They will meet a new
friend, Bongo, as they learn how to Live B.I.G.
(Belief in God). Through fun music, entertaining
videos, and a wide]range of creative activities, children
will learn how to connect with God in new
and meaningful ways. We will kick-off Live B.I.G.
with a party on Sunday, August 31, complete with
a bounce house, games, and snacks.

Youth Ministries
Our youth will begin the second leg of the
Amazing Bible Race on Wednesday, August 13 at
6:30 pm. In teams, youth and adults read the Bible
and work through online challenges as they compete
with other teams across the nation. Junior
high youth will begin a new Sunday school experience
with Journey, a study designed to help students
make connections between their faith and
the real world issues they face each day. Senior
high youth will engage in a series of short term topical
studies on Sunday mornings.
